NS and Buckingham Branch Railroads

The Buckingham Branch Railroad (BBRR) is a short-line railroad operating in Virginia, United States, with its mainline running between Clifton Forge and Richmond. It leases and operates tracks owned by CSX Transportation and interchanges with both CSX and Norfolk Southern (NS). Norfolk Southern (NS) is one of the major Class I railroads in the U.S., operating an extensive network primarily in the eastern United States. While NS and the Buckingham Branch Railroad have no direct affiliation, they may interact through rail traffic interchanges at shared connection points. Both railroads play significant roles in freight transportation in the region.
