KHSU

KHSU was a non-commercial public radio station based at Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) in Arcata, California. It operated at 90.5 FM and was a member of National Public Radio (NPR), offering a mix of local programming, national syndications, and educational content. Founded in 1960, KHSU served the North Coast region of California. In April 2019, the university significantly reduced its operations and laid off most staff, transitioning the station to a primarily automated format. It was known for its strong ties to the local community and support for regional arts and culture.
