It was launched in 1987 and primarily played music from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, catering to fans of the "oldies" genre. The station was owned by CBS Radio and became a popular fixture in the Boston radio market. In 2012, WODS shifted formats to become a contemporary Top 40 station under the branding "103.3 AMP Radio." The transition marked the end of the Oldies 103 era.
