Radio Trent was a commercial radio station that launched on July 3, 1975, serving Nottingham and the surrounding areas in the United Kingdom. It was one of the first independent local radio stations in the UK and initially broadcast on 301 meters medium wave and 96.2 MHz FM. Over time, the station underwent several rebrands and ownership changes, eventually becoming part of the Capital FM network under the name Capital East Midlands.
