KRVS

KRVS is a public radio station based in Lafayette, Louisiana, broadcasting at 88.7 FM. It is affiliated with NPR and provides a mix of national programming, local news, and music, with a strong focus on Cajun, Creole, Zydeco, and Louisiana French cultural content. The station, licensed to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, also supports the preservation and promotion of regional music and culture. KRVS began broadcasting in 1963 and serves audiences in southern Louisiana and parts of eastern Texas.
