Lakihegy

Lakihegy Radio Transmitter is a historic longwave broadcasting station located in Szigetszentmiklós, near Budapest, Hungary. It was built in 1928 and is most notable for its iconic Blaw-Knox tower, a 314-meter tall mast that was once the tallest structure in Europe. The station played a significant role in Hungary's telecommunications history, serving as a major hub for longwave radio transmission. Although its importance has diminished with modern technology, the site remains a landmark and a symbol of early broadcasting innovation.
