Katrina Radio Station

Katrina Radio Station was an informal, makeshift radio operation set up in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It was created to provide critical information and communication for survivors, first responders, and relief workers in the disaster-stricken Gulf Coast region. Operating on a low-power FM frequency, the station broadcast updates on relief efforts, shelter locations, and other vital resources. It played a key role in connecting communities and addressing the information vacuum caused by the storm's devastation.
