Detailed Introduction
Radio La Isabela was the first radio station established in the Dominican Republic and the first in Latin America, launched in 1926. It was founded in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros by the engineer and broadcaster Frank Hatton. The station was named after the historic town of La Isabela, one of the first European settlements in the Americas. Radio La Isabela marked the beginning of broadcasting in the region, playing a significant role in the development of radio communication in the Dominican Republic. It set the foundation for future media growth in the country.
