Areito Stereo

Areíto Stereo is a community radio station based in Toribío, Cauca, Colombia. It was founded in 1998 and operates under the guidance of the Nasa Indigenous people, serving as a vital platform for cultural preservation and communication. The station broadcasts in both Spanish and the Nasa Yuwe language, focusing on Indigenous rights, education, and traditional knowledge. Areíto Stereo is part of the CRIC (Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca) and plays a key role in strengthening the identity and autonomy of the Nasa community. It is widely recognized for promoting peace and grassroots participation in a historically conflict-affected region.
