Ceefax Radio

Ceefax Radio was a short-lived experimental radio service in the United Kingdom that operated in the late 1970s. It was developed by the BBC to provide spoken versions of the text-based Ceefax teletext service, which delivered news, weather, and information via television. The station used a closed-circuit system and was not widely broadcast, primarily serving as a trial for accessibility purposes, particularly for visually impaired audiences. Ceefax Radio was eventually discontinued as the BBC chose to focus on other accessibility initiatives and improvements in teletext technology.
